I like Anne’s teaching – not as a guru, but as a peer, with empathy and humour. She uncovers subtleties that have helped me notice details about my body and how I physically move through different situations. After class, I feel stronger and can sense a shift in the energy flowing through me.

I appreciate that Anne teaches us to “pause” and take care of ourselves beyond yoga. And I really value the time we have as a group to chat every week – I can feel us building community as we get to know each other better.

Our Monday morning yoga+community class is an essential start to my week. I am very physically active over the weekends and often don’t sleep enough so I look forward to stretching and relaxing with the group. Anne is very well educated in the physical aspects of yoga and she explains clearly why and how we should practice specific postures. I always leave class feeling more limber, emotionally balanced and full of peaceful energy.

I like that PauseYoga’s classes are more personal than in other studios. I don’t feel like a number, and I can express myself. Since there is no other class waiting to begin right after ours, everyone is more relaxed and we enjoy spaciousness and time.

I’m really enjoying our yoga+community classes. Anne guides us through every posture and I often surprise myself by managing more than I had anticipated! After every class I feel good and energised. In fact, I’ve noticed that I’m stronger than before and that my balance has improved.

Anne is very caring. She always goes out of her way to find the appropriate position or prop for each of us. I trust her completely, which is important when I’m putting myself in positions that seem so impossible beforehand.

the way. I was looking to shift gears a bit as my delivery date drew nearer. Anne
found the best balance of movement, relaxation and stress reduction for each
stage of my pregnancy. Her calm and soothing manner made her a great fit for
me from the start. But she’s also very technical and pushed me to do what I
could, with the right form, which I appreciate and carry with me into all other
forms of exercise. It’s a great mix for me!
